School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)
Non-Salaried
Delivered in partnership with Teach First (Ofsted Outstanding), our SCITT programme combines immersive classroom experience with high-quality academic and professional training.
You will train in schools from the very start, learning directly from experienced teachers while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

Key features:
- Train in school from September – you will be in the classroom from day one
- Two main school placements, plus additional experience in other educational settings
- Structured training programme designed by Teach First’s expert curriculum team
- Weekly mentor meetings and ongoing coaching from trained school-based mentors
- Intensive training blocks at key points in the year, alongside weekly professional studies
- Academic study and assignments leading to a PGCE
By the end of the year, you’ll be a fully qualified teacher, ready to move into your Early Career Teacher (ECT) role.
